From my effort of incorporating new, beneficial, items into my daily diet i've came across these two 'ingredients'....
Probiotics and Flax Oil
Probiotics
Probiotics restores or enhances the bacteria in your gut flora. I've heard a lot of good things about probiotics and how beneficial it is for your digestive system. This container of it contains 'BIOACTIVE MULTI-STRAIN CULTURES." Sounds fancy. Here's a little paragraph about the benefits of these bacteria that live inside you and their relationship to your body.
"Bacteria that live in the intestinal tract play an important role in human health. There are at least 30 beneficial species that inhabit the intestine, living mainly in the colon, the lower region of intestine. These anaerobic bacteria plus other microbes comprise the gut flora. It has been estimated that the number of microorganisms living in the intestine is 10X greater than the number of cells in the entire human body; bacteria make up about 60% of the volume of feces. Most of the bacteria in the gut flora are beneficial, and even necessary for optimal health. They digest parts of food that the intestine cannot, such as fiber and certain carbohydrates. The main end product of this bacterial digestion is small fatty acids which then can be absorbed as nutrients. Bacteria also produce some essential vitamins, such as vitamin K, and aid the intestine in absorbing calcium and other minerals. Furthermore, the large number of beneficial bacteria prevent pathogenic species from growing in the intestine. One unfortunate side effect of some antibiotics is that they alter the composition of the gut flora, often killing large numbers of the beneficial species. If this happens, intestinal upset and diarrhea may result until the natural balance of bacteria is restored."

Flax Oil
Flax Oil is beneficial to your skin, hair, and nails. There's also evidence that it may help to reduces chances of stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer. OOOOOOHHH. Sounds good huh?
This is is packed with Omega-3 essential fatty acids (good fats essential for brain and nerve funtion), lignans (which have antioxidant qualities), and fiber (both soluble and insoluble types). Flax contains up to 800x more lignans than any other plant food.

So how do I incorporate this into my diet?
I just add a table spoon of probiotics into my blended protein shakes and I add a table spoon of flax oil into my vegetable drinks (jar of goodness) :)
You can also put flax oil onto a salad with your normal dressing.
Once mixed in, these two ingredients are tasteless.
